2 min read

Ronaldinho wore three numbers at three clubs. He was 21 and then 10 at Paris Saint-Germain, 10 at Barcelona and 80 at AC Milan. Most people remember the Barcelona years, from 2003 to 2008, but every one of those shirts has a story.

PSG, 2001–03: 21, then 10

Ronaldinho joined Paris Saint-Germain from Grêmio in 2001 on a five-year deal, for about €5 million. He wore 21 in his first season, in the navy home shirt with the red stripe and Opel across the chest.

In 2002 he won the World Cup with Brazil. He came back to Paris as the 10 for 2002-03, with Thomson on the front. It was his last season at the club.

Barcelona, 2003–08: the 10

Barcelona signed him in 2003 for €30 million, ahead of Manchester United, and gave him the 10. Two seasons later he was collecting awards. He was FIFA World Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005, and he won the Ballon d'Or in 2005.

Barcelona won La Liga in 2004-05 and 2005-06. The 2005-06 season gave us the bright yellow away shirt and the home shirt from the Champions League final.

Two nights in a Barcelona shirt

On 19 November 2005, Barcelona won 3-0 at Real Madrid. Ronaldinho scored twice, and the Bernabéu stood to applaud him.

On 17 May 2006, Barcelona beat Arsenal 2-1 in the Champions League final in Paris. We stock the home shirt from that season with the final's details embroidered on the front.

AC Milan, 2008–11: number 80

Ronaldinho joined Milan in July 2008 on a three-year deal. Clarence Seedorf already had the 10, so he chose 80, for the year he was born, 1980.

He left for Flamengo in January 2011. Our 2009-10 shirt is the white away, with red and black trim on the sleeves and bwin across the chest, printed RONALDINHO 80.
